What Are Event Activations?

A branded giveaway is nice. A branded experience is the thing people remember, photograph, and tell their coworkers about. That’s the idea behind event activations, and it’s something we’ve been working hard to bring to life for our clients over the past few years.

Here’s a look at what we’ve done, what we’re rolling out next, and where we’re headed.

What We've Already Brought to the Floor

We’ve run activations that turn a booth or an office event into something people actually want to stop and do:

  • Screen printing on T-shirts, live, so attendees walk away wearing something they made
  • Heat transfers on T-shirts and hats
  • Pen bar, a build-your-own-pen station that’s simple, fast, and endlessly popular
  • Dirt and Doodle, our paint-your-own-terracotta-pot activation, paired with planting a succulent or painting a river rock
  • On-site laser engraving
  • Botanical paper making, a hands-on, sustainability-forward activation

Each one does the same job in a different way: it slows people down, gets them engaged with the brand, and sends them home with something they made themselves instead of something they just picked up.

New for 2026

We’ve built out our lineup even more for 2026, and this year we’re adding two new activations to the mix:

  • Pick Your Own Sunglasses, a station where attendees select their pair and pop them into a branded case
  • Pick and Pair, an interactive accessory bar with two wrist straps and a range of attachable accessories, so every attendee builds a combination that fits their needs

Both are designed the same way our past activations have been: low barrier to try, high payoff to walk away with, and a natural moment for a brand touchpoint.

What's On Our Radar

We’re always scouting new activation formats, and a few are on our shortlist for future events:

  • A lip balm bar
  • A tie-dye T-shirt bar
  • On-site embroidery
  • Custom wood-slot picture frames
Why It Matters

Activations work because they flip the script on the usual booth interaction. Instead of a rep pitching a product, the attendee is the one doing something, and the brand becomes part of a moment they chose to spend time on. That’s a very different kind of recall than a bag of swag picked up on the way to the next session.

If you’re planning an event and want to talk through which activation fits your audience, your space, and your budget, we’d love to help you build it out.
