The Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto is known for shaping future pharmacy leaders and driving innovation, but it’s also a place where community really matters. When the Faculty wanted merch that reflected its values and helped bring people together, they naturally reached out to Genumark!

Our Katie Anderson, VP of Sales, worked with their team to create a line of apparel and accessories that students, alumni, faculty, and donors would actually be excited to wear. The goal? Build school spirit, boost visibility, and help everyone feel a little more connected. We chatted with Laura Warman, the Faculty’s Communications Officer, to learn more about the project.

We drew inspiration from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy’s brand story and visual identity – specifically our signature brand pattern. The pattern is more than just a design; it’s a reflection of who we are. Rooted in the two core areas of our faculty – Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy Practice – it represents the integration of both fields under one roof. It’s a dynamic visual that speaks to the collaborative, innovative spirit of Pharmacy, and we loved the idea of bringing that story to life in tangible, everyday items that people can actually use and enjoy!

The response has been overwhelmingly positive! Internal and external recipients alike have loved the merch – from students and staff to alumni and guests. We’ve heard how much they appreciate the thoughtful design and functionality. It’s always rewarding to see people using the items in their day-to-day and hearing things like “Where can I get one of these?” (That’s why we make so many re–orders!)
Katie is phenomenal to work with. She’s incredibly responsive, professional, and always goes the extra mile to make things happen – even when our requests are a bit out there or on tight timelines. Her support and expertise through Genumark help bring our vision to life seamlessly, and she makes the entire process feel easy and fun.
My favourite piece is the cleaning cloth! It might be small, but it’s mighty – super practical, easy to carry, and incredibly useful for everything from cleaning glasses and screens to just having a handy cloth on the go. Plus, it’s a great way to show off our pattern in a subtle, stylish way.
