The 21st of February was an amazing day for Genumark as we were named one of the 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada. That’s right! ALL of Canada!

The article that was published by the Financial Post said we have a ‘collaborative, free-flowing culture’ and ‘we empower our people to make decisions on their own’. This is all true, but it wouldn’t be possible without a management team that allows this to happen in the first place. In order to do this they always listen, take time to help and allow us as employees to grow in areas we excel. This cannot be said for many companies and it’s truly appreciated by all Genumarkers.

Being named as one of the 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada is an amazing achievement but the Genumark team know that it’s also well deserved because our management team is second to none.

Help David stick it to Alzheimer’s!

This will be the 6th year that Genumark’s David Lewenberg has taken part in the Scotiabank Pro-Am Hockey Tournament.

The Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer’s, in support of the Gordie & Colleen Howe Fund, is the ultimate hockey experience. This one-of-a-kind event allows the average weekend warriors to strap on their skates and team up with some of the greatest hockey players to ever hit the ice. The Scotiabank Pro-Am is the largest event of its kind in Canada and provides memories that will last a life time.

David can bee seen below with Hockey Hall of Fame member and spokesperson for the Scotiabank Pro Am Alzheimer’s event Gordie Howie.

Proceeds go towards Baycrest which is an internationally renowned academic health sciences centre with a focus on the aging brain.

David’s father is currently battling Alzheimer’s, so this is very personal for him . He looks great however this hides what David knows is really happening. He is often confused and disoriented. Thankfully, he still remembers David and his family but time is not on their side. Please do your part in helping beat this terrible disease.

With your help David can really stick it to Alzheimer’s and reach his goal of $10,000 before May!

Great Fashion for a Great Cause!

OHM is a unique high energy fashion / dance event featuring creative original student designs from across Ontario plus tightly choreographed dance sequences.

The show will feature clothing from 10 different up and coming fashion designers  inspired by the latest trends such as colour blocking and polka-dot prints. There will also be  performances by over 70 dancers!

For the past 9 years OHM has showcased the talents of young designers, models, dancers and stylists and has donated over $57,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society!

As OHM is a student run, non profit charitable organization they rely on the corporate and private donations to help raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, whilst putting on an outstanding show! All of the net proceeds derived from ticket sales and sponsors will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. Genumark is immensely proud to be a sponsor of this amazing event.
