Under the Spotlight: Trisha Miller

If you are ever looking to experience the feeling of fresh, British Columbia air, sitting with Account Manager Trisha Miller might come pretty close. Originally hailing from Hope, BC, Trisha has been a cornerstone of Genumark Vancouver for a long time and has the resume to prove it!

With a big smile on her face, she took a moment to sit with us to share her story.

TRISHA, WHAT DO YOU DO ALL DAY?

A typical day starts with me at my desk by 6:00 – this allows me to get a jump start and to stay in touch with what is going on with customers and suppliers that are on Eastern Time Zone. I spend time researching products, quotes, processing orders, shipping out orders, talking with clients and just getting work done!  As one great moto states “Just do your job!” In the evenings, I can be found eating dinner in my car & shuttling my kids to and from their sporting events. Never a dull moment – which I enjoy & thrive on.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH GENUMARK?

Since 1995, so 24 years

WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE THE PROMO INDUSTRY?

WHAT JOBS HAVE YOU DONE SINCE WORKING AT GENUMARK?

When I first joined Genumark in 1995 I was the Receptionist then moved onto the Programs Department.  A position I loved and learned a great deal from – so many aspects of what we do now comes back to basic customer service, and that is what should always be number 1!  I take each of my jobs & what I have learned into becoming the Account Manager I am today.

COOLEST PROMOTION PRODUCT YOU HAVE WORKED ON AT GENUMARK?

My client had a Rock’n’Roll themed event and we made for them custom replica guitars with their logo on them. They were fully stringed and beautifully framed. We were able to even customize them down to have the guitars match my client’s corporate brand colours ~ it definitely was one of those “outside the box” projects that was exciting to work on.

That is a pretty equal question, but I will go with Marcus Naslund.  I met him once while I was having lunch in Vancouver.
