Jordi & Pini’s 400K ride for Tour for Kids!

Meet Jordi and Pini, these two rode over 400km over 4 days from the 18th to the 21st of August. They said “It was an incredible and challenging experience! We would be lying if we said that we weren’t a little tired and sore, but the feeling of achievement is well worth it!”

Jordi and Pini helped Tour for Kids 2011 raise 1.7 Million Dollars and counting! This money helps send kids affected by childhood cancer to camp. The Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation distributes 100% of every dollar raised to the charities and programs supported that include Camp Oochigeas, Camp Quality & Camp Trillium. Other costs are covered through the generous support of corporate sponsors, along with registration fees of the events.

Genumark helped Jordi and Pini get decked out in some eye catching gear for the ride. They told us “The number of compliments we recieved over the course of the 4 days were countless. Thank you Genumark for donating the jerseys and for making sure that my dad and I rode our bikes in style!” You can see the eye popping jerseys in the image at the top of this post.

Rain or Shine! Nine, Wine & Dine!

The Globe and Mail Invitational 2011 – Nine, Wine & Dine that took place on July 14th is one of Vancouver’s premier charity golf tournaments. The event was hosted at the spectacular setting of Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club.

Despite the very wet rain everyone invloved put on a smile and pulled together to support The Children’s Arts Umbrella Foundation. Thier goal is to help inspire kids for life through the arts.

Marie Clark (Event Commitee Member) & Elaine Hunter took part on behalf of Genumark in an event that exceeded expectations and raised over $100,000 in net profits!

The reason the event did so well was due to the amazing items in the live auction which included two backstage meet & greet tickets with Sarah McLachlan, a fully catered private dinner party courtesy of the new Edible Canada shop on Granville Island and a one hour flight in a fighter jet!

Kudos to the many sponsors that helped make the Globe and Mail Invitational 2011 – Nine, Wine & Dine possible.
