1. Clef Du Vin

In a controlled way this amazing little wine tool will gradually modify the organoleptic qualities of the wine which effect the taste, smell, flavour & bouquet. The Clef du Vin has been carefully calibrated so that one second of contact in a glass will display the potential lay down time of one year! The best thing is that it works on all types of wine (red, rosé, white, dry, mellow, sweet, fortified or sparkling).

The Clef Du Vin comes in three flavours, pocket, service & bottle and each have a different use as outlined below.

Pocket

The dot and holder fold into the handle, making it easy to transport in a pocket or purse. It is calibrated for a 100 ml glass of wine.

Service

The rigid, elongated “spoon” shaped silhouette, makes it convenient for everyday use. It is calibrated for a 100 ml glass of wine.

Bottle

The Rabbit will gently aerate your wine as you pour! It’s designed to provide the right amount of aeration, enough to soften wine but not enough to flatten the taste.

It works by mimicking what happens when you use a spraying type wine funnel to pour into a decanter. As the wine goes through the pourer it hits a disk which splashes the wine down the clear sidewalls of the Rabbit. As the wine slides down the sides, air is drawn into the pouring bowl.

Many of us at Genumark know people who have been effected by melanoma but lots of people are not aware of the risks and how to prevent it. We hope that this post helps answer some questions.

What is it?

Melanoma is a cancer that starts in the DNA of melanocytes; the cells responsible for your hair and skin’s colour. When their DNA is damaged, it causes the cells to grow uncontrollably leading to a malignant tumour.

What Causes it?

Excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) from the sun and sunbeds plays a leading role in the development of melanoma and is the most preventable cause of this disease. Experts estimate about 90% of melanomas are associated with severe UV exposure and sunburns over a lifetime.

The lifetime risk of melanoma for Canadian men is now 1 in 74. For Canadian women, it’s 1 in 90. In comparison, the lifetime risk of melanoma for Americans in 1930 was 1 in 1500.
