Paper made from ROCKS!

No your not seeing things this really is paper made from rocks! Currently there is a large selection of notebooks & gift bags available to decorate with your logo and many more items in the pipeline.

What is Stone Paper?
STONE PAPER is a combination of Calcium Carbonate with a small quantity of a non-toxic resin (HDPE) to create a strong sustainable substrate.

How is Stone Paper made?
STONE PAPER is made with a state-of-the-art production process which does not utilize water or toxic chemicals- STONE PAPER is free of bleach and strong acid’s.

What are the benefits of using STONE PAPER compared to regular paper?
Incredibly low carbon foot print- no water, trees or bleach are used in its production & 50 % less fossil fuels used in it’s production.Naturally acid free with no lignin( never yellows)

Calcium Carbonate is one of the most abundant minerals on earth; it is naturally bright white and it can also be referred to as: Stone, Mineral, Chalk, Marble, or Limestone.
The paper industry uses a massive amount of fresh water for producing paper, but STONE PAPER does not use any water in its process.
Both Calcium Carbonate and PE are coatings on regular tree paper now and get divided off in the recycling process but since Stone Paper has no fiber it offers no benefit. It is degradable and will break down into the powder of stone (Calcium Carbonate) with the standard mix of humidity and UV light/sunlight. Can be recycled stream 2 in some municipalites.

What happens when you burn STONE PAPER?
Used papers can also be incinerated safely, as non-toxic resins will not emit smoke or poisonous gas by-product -a source for waste energy

The 50,000 Dollar Man

This will be the 5th year that Genumarks very own David Lewenberg has taken part in the Scotiabank Pro-Am Hockey Tournament. The event helps support research and care in Alzheimer’s and related disorders.

This one-of-a-kind event allows everyday hockey enthusiasts to team up with former NHL greats in the battle against these devastating conditions. Proceeds go towards Baycrest who are an internationally renowned academic health sciences centre with a focus on the aging brain.

David’s father is battling Alzheimer’s, so this is very personal for him . He looks great however this hides what David knows is really happening. He is often confused and disoriented. Thankfully, he still remembers David and his family but time is not on their side. Please do your part in helping beat this terrible disease.

David has raised $45,000 so far from past  tournaments, so this year he will surely become the $50,000 man!

Help David with his truly amazing contribution by clicking here.
